Description

Objective:

To provide the student with an understanding of the concepts, procedures, and practices in the administrative control, under the Anti-Deficiency Act, of the processes associated with appropriation, apportionment, obligation, and actual outlay of funds of the Federal Budget.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Examine steps and strategies in executing the budget
  • Be familiar with other special problems associated with the execution of the federal funding process
  • Understand the process of appropriation allotment and obligation of the Federal Budget
  • Understand the Anti-Deficiency Act, contingency planning, mid-year reviews, and budget close-out
