Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide students with an understanding of concepts, functions, and responsibilities at the intermediate management level, as well as issues affecting mid-level management personnel in the fire service.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Employ creative approaches to identify problems having an impact on organizational effectiveness
  • Apply creative group problem-solving methods and describe the importance of continuous improvement within the fire service given modern organizational problems
  • Quantify problems and solutions, and use the information to justify a recommendation
