Description

Objective:

The course objective is to enable National Airspace System (NAS) personnel to be able to maintain the ARTCC Critical and Essential Power System (ACEPS)

Learning Outcomes:

  • operate the VSCS in accordance with the appropriate procedures and documentation
  • identify functional and physical characteristics of the VSCS system
  • identify VSCS Console Equipment (VCE) controls and indicators
  • perform VCE general operations
  • set-up and perform VCE air-to-ground (A/G) communications
  • set-up and perform VCE ground-to-ground (G/G) communications
  • perform utility operations
  • describe VSCS configuration database concepts
  • operate the NAS Manager workstation
  • monitor VSCS system status
  • perform fault mitigation
  • reconfiguration; and perform maintenance utility functions
