Description

Objective:

Phase One: To provide an overview of Conventional Arms Control Agreements in Europe; introduce Conventional Arms Control Verification Treaties and Confidence and Security Building Measures; establish United States Government's role in On-Site Inspection Activities; orient personnel to the mission of Defense Threat Reduction Agency. Following Phase One, prospective Inspectors attend Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE) Inspector Training. Phase Two: As prospective Inspectors attend Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE) Inspector training, this provides operational training on Arms Control Verification Treaties and Confidence and Security Building Measures; DTRA's Arms Control Verification Mission; On-Site Inspection Regimes and Operation Tempo; and roles and responsibilities of Arms Control Escorts and Inspectors in Europe. Convention Arms Control Agreements in Europe training introduces US Government personnel to On Site Inspection Activities and Confidence and Security Building Measures in Europe.

  • Describe Conventional Arms Control Verification Activities and Confidence and Security Building Measures
  • And understand the importance of U.S. inspection activities and DTRA's Arms Control Verification Mission. Upon successful completion of Phase Two: of this course, the student will be able to conduct on-site inspection activities
  • Gather information, prepare and submit inspection reports in accordance with established U.S. Government Operational Procedures
  • Identify treaty limited equipment or reportable items in accordance with treaty specifications
