Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide a comprehensive understanding of how the systems engineering technical and technical management processes within the Department of Defense are applied to a system within the context of the systems acquisition life cycle.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Recognize the importance of Systems Engineering in the DoD's defense acquisition process, to include key Technical and Technical Management processes
  • Describe the major SE tenants across the Acquisition Life Cycle
  • Apply Systems Engineering activities critical to the Materiel Solution Analysis phase
  • Apply Systems Engineering activities critical to the Production & Deployment (P&D) phase
  • Apply the important Design Considerations outlined in the DAG
