Objective:

This interdisciplinary credential, CLCL 002A, Integrated Product Support Credential, brings together multiple online training (OLT) courses and supporting resources to offer a comprehensive overview of Life Cycle Product Support Management, including the Life Cycle Sustainment Plan, Performance Based Logistics, 12 Integrated Product Support Elements, sustainment metrics, Product Support Business Case Analysis, Independent Logistics Assessment, Logistics Test & Evaluation, Product Support data analytics, and Risk Management.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Describe logistics planning, management, and execution during the system life cycle.
  • Define the Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) including its four parts and its role in test and evaluation.
  • Describe the steps of the Supportability Test and Evaluation (ST&E) process.
  • Recognize what critical metrics a Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP) must address to ensure the Warfighter's performance outcomes are met.
  • Recognize the basic tenets of Performance-Based Logistics (PBL).
  • Identify the primary purpose of a Product Support Business Case Analysis (BCA).
  • Recognize the goals of the Independent Logistics Assessment (ILA) in the acquisition lifecycle and its integral function as part of the necessary activities to achieve Milestones B and C and Full Rate Production.
  • Describe the 12 Integrated Product Support Elements.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with the Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements Guidebook.
  • Discuss the application of data analytics in product support element use cases.
  • Re-state how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can improve conventional analytics leading to improved systems and practices.
  • Given a scenario, evaluate the risk management analysis conducted on the processes and management actions involved in the scenario.
  • Explain the life cycle logistician's role in cost estimating, configuration management, and risk management.
  • Explain the role of sustainment metrics in developing and monitoring the effectiveness of the product support strategy.
