Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide a broad overview of the Department of Defense (DoD) systems acquisition process, covering all phases of acquisitions. It introduces the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS); the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process; DoD 5000 - series policy and procedures documents; and current issues in systems acquisition management. Designed for individuals who have little or no experience in DOD acquisition management. This course has proven to be very useful to personnel in headquarters, program management, and functional or support offices.
