Description

Objective:

This course provides end-to-end training related to implementing a review of a contractor's CM system in accordance with Engineering Policy DCMA-INST 207 and applicable CM standards as specified in contractual documents. The course encompasses the full application of engineering surveillance to perform a CM system review: identifying contract CM requirements, planning, execution, documentation and follow-up of CM surveillance activity. The course promotes critical thinking through the use of contractor environment, simulated learning scenarios, artifacts and team interactions.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Identify specifications, standards, and DCMA policies governing supplier configuration management system reviews and determine the configuration management requirements the DCMA Engineer is responsible for in performing appropriate surveillance
  • Identify contract requirements, assess risk, and prioritize configuration management areas of surveillance when given acquisition contracts and other support requirements documents to review
  • Organize objective evidence for each Configuration Management System Review function and record findings
  • Generate appropriate reports, influence instruments, surveillance updates, and disseminate findings accordingly
