Description

Objective:

The course objective is to identify, analyze and record business transactions including payroll and inventory transactions, completing the accounting cycle, managing cash and internal control, and preparing financial statements for single-owner business organizations that operate as service companies or merchandisers.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Repare end-of-cycle adjustments, worksheets, and financial statements
  • Review IRS Publication 15 Circular E, Publication 15-A and US Federal Income Tax Form
  • Complete payroll tax forms
  • Apply financial accounting concepts to complete a Comprehensive Review Accounting Practice set including journal entries, posting to accounts, closing entries, and financial statements
  • Analyze business transactions and record journal entries
  • Compute and record payroll expense, tax withholding and employer's payroll expenses
