Objective:

To introduce learners to the three major monotheistic religions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam as well as to explore Native American religions, Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Articulate the primary tenets upon which the most common religions are based
  • Communicate using the basic vocabularies of the three primary monotheistic religions
  • Engage in conversations that address the differences between Eastern and Western religions
  • Compare and contrast Eastern and Western religions

  • Tenets of and approaches to religion, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Native American religions, indigenous religions, Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, and religious movements after 1000 A.D
