Description

Objective:

The course objective is to develop the students' ability to apply enhanced knowledge and understanding to demonstrate optimum effectiveness and performance as Department of Defense security leaders and security program managers.

  • Analyze Right Risk of the 2007 Defense Installations Strategic Plan for installation security management
  • Analyze the security objectives, according to the physical security for a DoD installation, DoDI 5200.08
  • Analyze risk management through vulnerability assessments (VA), according to Vellani's Strategic Security Management
  • Analyze an all-hazards approach, using the Target Capabilities List (TCL) as the model
  • Evaluate a security program that achieves its prevent mission, according to the Target Capabilities List
  • Evaluate a security program achieving its response mission, according to the Target Capabilities List
  • Evaluate the recover mission, according to the Target Capabilities List
  • Create a DoD security exercise evaluation plan, according to HSEEP
  • Create a security management program plan by compiling applicable elements from the Federal Emergency Management System (FEMS)
