Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide a safe environment where IS Reps who have reached the full performance level can engage in complex problem solving, critical thinking, leadership, and advanced communication in preparation for assuming a more senior role.

Learning Outcomes:

  • conduct a self-assessment of leadership and communication skills required to succeed as a Senior IS Rep
  • develop a plan for the identification and development of a solution to a real-world DCSA or industrial security problem
  • assess a complex, signatory Foreign Ownership, Control or Influence (FOCI) facility for compliance with mitigation
  • evaluate the implementation of international security requirements at complex facilities engaged in multiple contracts involving international transfers
  • compare and contrast the IS Rep's roles and responsibilities in overseeing programs that fall outside the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) to standard NISP oversight
  • justify, in written report and oral presentation, to senior-level DCSA leadership the solution developed to address a real-world DCSA or industrial security problem
