Description

Objective:

Veterinary Assistant is an Advanced Training Program that prepares learners to provide assistance to veterinarians and veterinary technicians and help them provide patient care. The goal of this comprehensive program is for learners to complete the course along gain a new job or to achieve a promotion within 120 days of completing the program.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Summarize the roles, responsibilities, and applicable laws and ethics as they pertain to the veterinary health-care team.
  • Demonstrate appropriate use of medical terminology and abbreviations.
  • Discuss the fundamentals of small-animal anatomy and physiology relevant to veterinary assisting, using proper terminology.
