Description

Objective:

The course objective is to identify effective human resource management (HRM) practices allowing the student to purchase these services from a consultant, to work with the HRM department, or to design and implement them personally; develop and refine student skills and knowledge related to aligning workforce management with their organization's business goals; provide students with the background to be a successful HRM professional, to manage human resources effectively, and to be a knowledgeable consumer of HRM products; illustrate how a manager can more effectively manage human resources, and highlight important issues in current HRM practice; and demonstrate how the HRM function, as well as the management of human resources, can help companies gain a competitive advantage.
