Objective:

The course objective is to build on concepts from the Supply Chain Management I course, discuss how to determine and orchestrate supply chain processes, integrate and manage supply chain design, and apply supply chain management principles to the service sector and examine strategic performance measurements.

  • Discuss the functions and activities in the supply chain functional areas of inventory management, transportation, warehousing and material handling, and packaging
  • Describe the trade-offs related to supply chain design
  • Review future trends in supply chain management.
