Description

Objective:

The course objective is to develop an understanding of anatomy, physiology, movement assessments, and manual therapy techniques to optimize the delivery of interventions with patients.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Identify treatable impairments from a combination of special tests and movement assessments
  • Identify movement dysfunction and use deductive/inductive reasoning to infer a set of techniques and interventions based on a reliable movement assessment
  • Accurately identify and perform manual static release techniques for the trunk, upper body, and lower body
  • Accurately identify and perform joint mobilization techniques for all joints of the extremities
  • Plan a sequence of interventions to help optimize efficacy and efficiency in their profession
