Description

Objective:

Upon the successful completion of this course, students will be able to successfully obtain evidence, interview experts, and interact with claimants. It will also provide a better understanding of the liability claims environment and the process of evaluating bodily injury claims.

Learning Outcomes:

Students will learn which coverage and liability questions to ask during an investigation, as well as how to obtain evidence and comprehensive statements.
Students will be able to determine liability in a premises security liability claim, as well as have knowledge of the legal principles behind products liability and common sources of specialized claims.
Students will gain an understanding of HO-3 liability coverages, personal umbrella liability insurance, commercial general liability coverage, the businessowners policy, excess and umbrella liability insurance, professional liability insurance, and cyber risk insurance policies.
Students will become familiar with assessing liability claims, such as liquor liability and environmental liability. They will learn how common law and bailment concepts apply to liability claims.
