This course is recommended for a total of 6 semester hours in the lower-division baccalaureate/associate degree category. Credit is recommended for candidates scoring 650 or above on a scale of 200 to 800.
Description

Objective:

2.5 hours. The PCI examination consists of 125 scored multiple-choice questions and may also contain 15 randomly distributed pre-test questions for a total of up to 140 questions. The 2.5 hours allowed takes into consideration the review of pre-test items. The exam covers tasks, knowledge, and skills in three primary domains that have been identified by professional investigators as required areas of competency in this field.

Skills Measured:

The skills measured include case management (35 percent); investigative techniques and procedures (50 percent); and case presentation (15 percent).
