Objective:

To provide an understanding of economic considerations, concepts and techniques to improve decision making, analytical abilities, and skill in applying various methods for evaluating alternatives.

  • Apply economic analysis techniques to compare benefits of competing programs
  • Evaluate programs which are competing for limited resources and select those which are of greatest benefit
  • Use rate of return, payback potential, economic life, and breakeven analysis as the basis for decision making
