Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide the student with a comprehensive knowledge of probability and statistical techniques and procedures for collecting, describing, analyzing, and interpreting data using both descriptive and inferential statistics.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret numerical data using descriptive and inferential statistics and utilize the results in management decision making for complex weapon systems development

General Topics:

  • Descriptive graphs, descriptive measures, probability concepts, discrete and continuous probability distributions, statistical inference and sampling, hypothesis tests, applications of the chi-square statistic, analysis of variance, linear regression, and nonparametric statistics
