Commentary from the Editor

Deliberate planning to advance women's leadership is the general theme of this issue of NetworkNews. The articles in this issue show that change is happening and women are moving forward; however, this change comes deliberately and with the efforts of forward-thinking people committed to change and to the advancement of women leaders. The efforts of state networks—such as the progress toward rebuilding the Washington State Network and the successes in advancing women leaders and network building in Georgia—are highlighted. Finally, we have the success of a university system promoting women leaders with the contribution highlighting women’s success in the Minnesota State system of colleges and universities.
