Register Now for 2024 ACE Women’s Network Leadership Conference
January 16, 2024

Seats are now available for the Women’s Network Leadership Conference and dinner March 20 in Washington, DC.

Participants will have the opportunity to network, share insights, and attend thought-provoking topical sessions aimed at advancing and supporting women in higher education leadership.  Included on the agenda is a session with state chair representatives and other women serving within state networks. Members of the ACE Women’s Network are particularly encouraged to attend.

The Women’s Network Leadership Conference further advances ACE’s commitment to Moving the Needle: Advancing Women in Higher Education Leadership®, an initiative with the goal of achieving gender and racial parity in the percentage of higher education chief executives by 2030.

ACE’s 2023 edition of the seminal American College President Study (ACPS) of over 1,000 college presidents and chancellors showed that the college presidency is still largely dominated by white men. Though women have maintained recent gains in higher education leadership, there has not been substantive forward progress toward parity. The demographic trends are particularly dismal for women of color.

The theme for this conference is “Enhancing Momentum to Achieve Gender Parity in Higher Education Leadership.” Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with women across the higher education sector and hear ideas and insights on achieving gender parity in the field while assessing and analyzing current and potential strategies for advancing women in the sector—particularly women of color and marginalized identities.

The conference will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on March 20 and it will be followed by the ACE Women’s Leadership Dinner from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. The ACE Donna Shavlik Award—sponsored by Fidelity Investments—and the ACE State Network Leadership Award will also be announced during the dinner.
