The University of Louisville Digital Transformation Center (DTC), housed within the Office of Research and Innovation, is advancing digital equity and workforce readiness by expanding access to technology, digital literacy, and industry-recognized credentials. In partnership with Microsoft, Adobe, IBM, Google, and LinkedIn Learning, the DTC provides innovative training programs in areas such as IT certification, digital literacy, and, most notably, cybersecurity.
The Cybersecurity Workforce Program stands as a flagship initiative, offering flexible, modular learning pathways that accommodate learners at every stage—from those new to the field to seasoned professionals seeking advanced specialization. The program provides several options for professional development, including shorter bundles of 3–6 modules, intermediate tracks of up to 8 modules, or the full program of 23 modules. To ensure real-world application, the program incorporates industry-specific use cases in healthcare and logistics, along with specialized learning modules in areas such as artificial intelligence, forensics, and cryptography. This approach prepares learners for both immediate entry-level employment and long-term career growth through professional development in one of the nation’s most critical and fast-growing sectors.
