The mission of the Jack Welch Management Institute (JWMI) at Strayer University is to provide students with the proven methodologies, immediately actionable practices, and respected credentials needed to lead organizations in the most demanding global business environments.By teaching the performance and people-driven management canon of Jack Welch and other renowned business leaders, the Jack Welch Management Institute prepares MBA and Executive Certificate students to transform their companies and their careers. All JWMI programs are built for working professionals who want to excel in their careers and grow as leaders. One of the Institute's central tenants is 'learn today, apply tomorrow'. We expect learning to be immediately useful and impactful to our students.JWMI offers an MBA program and several non-credit certificate programs. It has been under the Strayer University umbrella since December 2011, and is accredited by both the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) and the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). During the 2014 academic year, JWMI had 800 active EMBA students and 400 participants in its non-credit certificate programs for a total student population of 1,200.
