The American Institute For Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (known as The Institutes) is an educational organization that helps those interested in insurance and risk management meet their personal and professional education needs.

The Institutes are responsible for delivering courses in support of the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter Program, upon completion of which designation holders may join the CPCU Society (an affiliated organization) as full members. The Institutes’ knowledge solutions also include associate designation courses in areas such as claims, risk management, underwriting, and reinsurance; introductory and foundation programs; online courses; research; custom solutions; assessment tools; and continuing education (CE) courses for licensed insurance professionals and adjusters through its CEU.com business unit. The Institutes' research division, the Insurance Research Council (IRC), provides timely and reliable empirical research to all parties involved in public policy issues affecting risk and insurance.
