This examination is recommended for a total of 6 semester hours in the lower-division baccalaureate/associate degree category. Credit is recommended for candidates scoring 50 and above.
Description

Objective:

The College Mathematics examination covers material generally taught in a college course for non-mathematics majors and majors in fields not requiring knowledge of advanced mathematics. An online scientific (non-graphing) calculator will be available during the examination. Candidates have 90 minutes to complete the examination.

Skills Measured:

The skills measured include 20 percent: algebra and functions; 10 percent: counting and probability; 15 percent: data analysis and statistics; 20 percent: financial mathematics; 10 percent: geometry; 15 percent: logic and sets; and 10 percent: numbers.
