Move Higher Ed Forward as an ACE Fellow
September 13, 2021

Applications are open for the 2022-23 cohort of the ACE Fellows Program, the nation's premier higher education leadership development opportunity. Apply or nominate now through Nov. 5.

The program is designed to develop a cadre of leaders who are prepared to help their nominating institutions enable change; advance diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus; and rapidly adapt to the fast-changing higher education landscape.

“If you are serious about developing strategic thinking and building your institution’s capacity, the ACE Fellows Program can make a difference,” said Joel Frater, former executive dean of Monroe Community College and ACE Fellow Class of 2013-14.

This unique fellowship condenses years of on-the-job experience and skills development into a single year. As a result, it is the most effective, comprehensive leadership development program in American higher education today. Of over 2,000 Fellows to date, more than 80 percent later served as chief executive officers, chief academic officers, other cabinet level positions, and deans.

ACE encourages candidates from diverse demographic and professional backgrounds, functional areas, and institutional sectors to apply. Individuals from community colleges, small private institutions, and minority serving institutions are especially encouraged to submit an application. Scholarship support, including the Cengage/ACE Fellows Program Inclusion Scholarship, may be available to eligible candidates upon inquiry.
