ACE on the Hill 2026

 

Join us for ACE on the Hill 2026 on February 25 in Washington, DC.

This annual advocacy day will bring college and university presidents and chancellors together with federal policymakers at a pivotal moment for higher education. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from policymakers and congressional staff in the new Congress, as well as engage with their own congressional delegations.

The event will precede ACE Experience 2026 (ACEx), which is scheduled for February 26-28.

Wednesday, February 25, 2026
Location: Top of the Hill, 1 Constitution Ave NE, Washington, DC 20002 (across from the U.S. Capitol and close to Union Station)

Please note that transportation from the conference hotel to Top of the Hill is not provided. Union Station is on the Red Line and is approximately a 10–15 minute Uber or cab ride from the conference hotel, depending on traffic.

9:30 a.m.: Arrival and check-in

10:00–11:00 a.m.: Welcome from ACE President Ted Mitchell; remarks from ACE Senior Vice President Jon Fansmith; briefing and overview of the day from ACE’s Government Relations staff

11:00 a.m.–noon: Panel discussion on appropriations and authorizing legislation (TBA)

Noon–1:00 p.m.: Working lunch (provided); Soapbox will provide instructions for congressional meetings

1:00–4:00 p.m.: Meetings with congressional delegations

4:00–5:00 p.m.: Concluding discussion led by ACE’s Government Relations staff

5:00 p.m.: Return to the hotel

5:30 p.m.: Welcome reception for the ACE Experience 2026 at the Grand Hyatt Washington (1000 H Street NW, Washington, DC 20001)
