ACE’s Building Pathways Summit Caps Year-Long Series of State-Focused Convenings
May 11, 2026

After events in Richmond, VA, Kalamazoo, MI, and Lehigh Valley, PA, and a national webinar, a May 26 in-person summit in Alexandria, VA, outside Washington, DC, will serve as the capstone event for ACE Building Pathways series.

The series, funded by Imaginable Futures, brought together higher education institutions, state leaders, employers, student voices, and community organizations as partners in advancing student success and building strong state ecosystems.

The summit will feature state and national leaders and weave together insights from the past events. The half-day program followed by a networking reception on the Virginia Tech Innovation Campus will amplify the value of higher education and our shared work with employers and bipartisan state policymakers to engage, educate, and strengthen a new generation of students, employees, and communities.

The Building Pathways Initiative, a project of ACE’s National Engagement Office, has been a limited series of state convenings designed to advance student success by elevating state-led priorities and connecting them with national insights and resources.
