The Donna Shavlik Award

This award recognizes sustained and continuing commitment to women's advancement in higher education, either in colleges and universities or in national positions.

We are no longer accepting nominations for the 2019 Donna Shavl​ik Award. The winner of the 2019 Donna Shavlik Award will be notified in late December/early January 2019.

The Donna Shavlik Award was established by ACE in 1999 to honor the long and outstanding service of Donna Shavlik, past director of ACE’s former Office of Women in Higher Education. The award  honors an individual whose leadership, both at colleges and universities and in national positions, has demonstrated a sustained and continuing committment to the advancement of women through actions or initiatives enhancing women's leadership development, career development, campus climate, and mentoring opportunities of and for women.

The award will be presented during the Women's Leadership Dinner at ACE2019, The American Council on Education's 101st Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, PA. 

Nominations for the 2019 Donna Shavlik Award are due no later than Friday, October 12, 2018. If you would like to nominate someone deserving of this award, please click on the submit nomination button and provide a brief narrative about the nominee.
