February 18, 2022

ACE is collaborating with the Department of State and other higher education associations to host a Feb. 28 webinar about the upcoming U.S.-Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Leaders Summit, and how higher education institutions can be highlighted during that White House meeting.

The 2 pm (ET) webinar will provide information about how colleges and universities can highlight at the Summit a partnership with an individual ASEAN nation, such as student/scholar exchanges or curriculum development, or collaboration with the  ASEAN University Network of 30 leading universities in the ASEAN region with study and research programs in priority areas identified by ASEAN.

The Summit will also provide an opportunity for the U.S. higher education community to network with ASEAN counterparts globally.

During the Summit, the White House will announce new partnership programs to increase educational opportunities for students and workers in Southeast Asia.  The meeting will include the leaders of Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, along with President Biden and U.S. cabinet officials.
