“We appreciate the actions announced today by the Biden administration to help campuses combat the rising wave of antisemitic incidents and threats of violence against Jewish students. The safety and well-being of all students is the top priority of every college and university president.
We understand that there are strong feelings about the war in Israel and Gaza. But no students should feel threatened on their own campuses. Having coordinated support from federal agencies such as the departments of Education, Homeland Security, and Justice in combating these threats will be a vital resource for campus leaders.
We will continue to work with colleges and universities to ensure that campuses remain a safe space for all of our students, and we strongly condemn any threats of violence within or against our campus communities.”
