Secretary Cardona will appear virtually during the Robert H. Atwell Plenary Friday afternoon, April 14. The secretary—who has worked over the past two years to increase higher education access, affordability, and student success, and has led efforts to transform the federal student loan system—will engage in a dialogue with ACE President Ted Mitchell and take questions from meeting attendees.

ACE2023 will bring together hundreds of presidents, senior executives, and other higher education leaders to learn the latest about nearly every facet of higher education, including higher education trends, public policy, and institutional practice and innovation.

In addition to a wide array of innovative concurrent sessions, ACE2023 plenaries will feature a number of speakers, including Opening Plenary participants Freeman A. Hrabowski III, president emeritus of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County; Sethuraman Panchanathan, director of the National Science Foundation; and Laura Helmuth, editor-in-chief of Scientific American. Also appearing at the Atwell Plenary will be Harvard University President Lawrence S. Bacow, who will deliver the Robert H. Atwell Plenary address. The Opening Plenary and Atwell Plenary are generously sponsored by Fidelity Investments.
