Registration is now open for Sharing the Knowledge: Navigating Retirement Transitions, a two-day meeting that will focus on issues facing aging faculty cohorts as they approach retirement.

The meeting will be held Jan. 11-12 in Los Angeles, CA.

A highlight of the meeting will be a keynote address from Dr. Julie M. Zissimopoulos, associate director of the Leonard D. Schaeffer Center for Health Policy and Economics and assistant professor in the Sol Price School of Public Policy at the University of Southern California. Click here for more speaker information and a tentative agenda.

Through topic-specific sessions led by experts in the field, a poster presentation and group discussion, attendees can expect to learn how to navigate the retirement process.  Participants can also expect to:

  • Hear how an aging faculty population will impact higher education as an industry.
  • Learn about the current state of senior faculty based on in-depth research.
  • Identify strategies and tools that they can re-create on their campuses.

Participants will also have the opportunity to join a learning network that will continue to convene after the conference to further explore the issues discussed.

Registration is free, but RSVP is required. For more information, please contact ACE’s Institutional Leadership Group at InstitutionalLeadership@acenet.edu.

The conference is co-hosted by the University of Southern California and sponsored by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.
