The
long-term impact of the COVID-19 pandemic will reshape higher education,
accelerating long-gestating trends toward new academic modalities; student,
faculty, and staff experiences; and institutional strategy, organization, and
operations. Even as the higher education sector continues to react to the
immediate and acute emergencies of the pandemic, university and college leaders
need to begin considering the lasting impact of COVID-19 and its effect on
their institutions.
