About the Webinar

In this webinar, leading scholars and practitioners shared insights from the recently released report, Shared Responsibility Means Shared Accountability: Rethinking Accountability Within Shared Equity Leadership (PDF).

Expert panelists discuss the ways that they are rethinking accountability both on campus and among other stakeholders, including boards and accreditors. Panelists also discuss the broader landscape of higher education accountability and how these efforts reflect future directions in the field.

Participants will learn about common challenges campuses face while determining accountability in practicing shared equity leadership, as well as strategies for effectively tracking and measuring progress.

About Shared Equity Leadership

Shared equity leadership (SEL) is a collective process by which equity becomes everyone’s work, rather than being relegated or siloed in one office or one leader’s portfolio. SEL includes multiple people in the work of leadership to accomplish an institution’s equity goals—work is shared or distributed among this group rather than falling solely on the shoulders of a single individual. Learn more about SEL on the Shared Equity Leadership page
