Stephen Lamb represents the American Council on Education (ACE) and its members on legislative and regulatory matters related to the Higher Education Act; Title III, IV, and V student and campus aid programs; accessibility and disability; civil rights and antisemitism; privacy and FERPA; active-duty military learners; and VA benefits.
Prior to joining the government relations team at ACE, Lamb served in various roles at the U.S. Department of Education for the Biden-Harris administration. He specifically worked in the Office of Postsecondary Education, working to advance the administration’s priorities in pandemic recovery and various student success initiatives, and the Office of the Secretary, working on national stakeholder engagement. Before serving in the government, Lamb worked on the Biden for President campaign.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and history from Indiana State University (go Sycamores!), and he is pursuing a master’s in public administration from American University (go Eagles!).
