ACE Program Types

Webinar

Webinars are free, 30- to 90-minute virtual events. ACE experts, campus leaders, and other voices from within and beyond higher education discuss critical questions and promising practices around a timely topic. Registrants have the opportunity to share their questions during the live event and to access the recording afterward.

Workshop

Workshops are virtual, in-person, or hybrid active-learning experiences facilitated by top experts that enable higher education leaders to hone new skills, connect with peers, and put knowledge into action. Participants discuss their experiences, complete inquiry assignments, and develop plans that apply knowledge learned to challenges at their institutions. Depending on format, workshops can last anywhere from one to two day or four to eight weeks.

Summit

Summits are one- to two-day virtual, in-person, or hybrid events centered on a particular theme. They provide insights, practical advice, and collaborative solutions from national and regional experts, leaders, and practitioners. Summit themes address issues and challenges that are broad in scope, require campus-wide approaches, and involve an array of stakeholders.

Learning Circle

Learning circles are social learning groups of college and university leaders who are pursuing transformative change. Campus leaders who are trained and supported by ACE facilitate online meetings. Agendas are determined by members’ goals and challenges. Discussions draw from ACE and collaborator content. Following the structured program, participants have the option of continuing to meet using ACE technology.
