Ways to Give

ACE offers a variety of ways for donors to support our work, whether online, through your employer, with planned or memorial giving, or with a donation of stock.

One-Time Gifts

Charitable contributions help ACE invest in our one of our greatest resources—the development of future leaders in higher education.

Pledges

To make a pledge over one to three years or to send your donation by mail, please complete the Gift or Pledge Form (PDF).

Honor/Memorial Giving

Honor or memorialize a friend or loved one by making a tribute gift to ACE.

Employer Matching Gifts

Your company’s matching gift will increase the impact of your charitable gift. To arrange for a matching gift, submit the request via your employer's online matching gift portal, or complete a hard copy form and mail it to:

American Council on Education

One Dupont Circle NW, Suite 860
Washington, DC 20036

IRA Rollover

The IRS Charitable Rollover allows individuals ages 70 1/2 and older to make charitable gifts directly from a traditional IRA account to the American Council on Education without incurring federal income tax on the withdrawal.

Gifts of Stock

By making a gift of appreciated securities, you can avoid capital gains tax. The stock contributed must have been held by you for more than 12 months for you to receive the greatest tax savings.

Leave a Gift in Your Will

By naming ACE as a beneficiary in your estate, you will have a lasting impact on higher education’s ability to realize a future of inclusive excellence in leadership and a forward-looking sector.

The American Council on Education is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our federal tax identification number is 53-0196573.
