The National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA), in cooperation with ACE, will present a webinar March 26 on legal and policy issues for short-term study abroad programs.
Speakers include Seth F. Gilbertson, associate counsel for the State University of New York's Office of General Counsel, and Stacey R. Bolton Tsantir, director of international health, safety and compliance at the University of Minnesota. They will update participants on the trends associated with short-term education abroad activities and address ways that counsel and administrators can add value to such programs through policy, training, contracting and risk-reduction.
Topics will include what policies institutions need to have, what training faculty members need to receive, measures to track students and faculty while they are abroad, and how to select responsible onsite support and affiliates, among others.
