November 07, 2012

"The American Council on Education congratulates President Barack Obama on his re-election. I join more than 3,000 college and university presidents across the country in wishing him well as he embarks on a second term in January.

The entire higher education community looks forward to continuing our work with the president on key issues such as expanding access to educational opportunity, increasing levels of attainment and supporting cutting-edge research and innovation. We in higher education stand ready to assist the Obama administration in addressing the multitude of challenges facing our nation in the coming months and years, from sustaining and strengthening the economic recovery to upholding global peace and security."
