The National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA), in cooperation with ACE and CUPA-HR, will present a webinar Feb. 19 on the current climate of Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) litigation on college and university campuses.
Panelists will address the most common challenges in complying with the FLSA, such as determining whether an individual is an employee or an independent contractor. Also on the agenda is a discussion of issues unique to higher education institutions, including graduate assistant coaches, students paid with stipends, unpaid student interns, volunteers, teaching and research assistants, and remote workers.
The webinar will conclude by looking at the best ways to conduct an FLSA audit of your workforce and make necessary changes.
