The one-hour session, which begins at 3:00 p.m. EDT, will focus on insights from an ACE-commissioned white paper, Instructional Quality, Student Outcomes, and Institutional Finances, and look at how faculty development at one university has had a demonstrable impact at an institutional level.

Participants will be:

  • Steven Taylor, associate director of academic innovation at ACE;
  • Martin Kurzweil, director of the Educational Transformation Program at Ithaka S+R and a paper co-author;
  • Catherine Haras, senior director of the Center for Effective Teaching and Learning at California State University, Los Angeles, and;
  • Joel Hartman, vice president for information technologies and resources at the University of Central Florida.
