Thank you for your interest in the Spectrum Aspiring Leaders Program. This 2-day program is focused on attracting mid-level administrators (typically department chairs, directors, and assistant/associate deans) from diverse backgrounds to increase diversity in the senior-level leadership ranks in higher education.

​March 20, 2017​ Program registration closes; program materials and final payment due (participation is not confirmed unless payment and materials are received)
March 31, 2017​ ​​Deadline to reserve room at the Renaissance Dallas Hotel (Visit the Location tab for details)
April 3, 2017 ​Cancellation requests submitted to ACELeadership@acenet.edu by COB will receive a refund minus $300 cancellation fee
​After April 3, 2017​ ​Cancellation requests submitted to ACELeadership@acenet.edu by COB will receive a refund minus $500 cancellation fee
 
Program Location

Program Book and Mock Interview Materials

To participate in the program, all participants will need to complete a conference registration (including payment) and submit materials for a digital program book and mock interviews. For more information on the program materials, visit the Program page.

 
Registration Fees

Early Bird (until February 23): ACE Member Institution: $1,500   |   Non-ACE Member Institution: $1,800

General Registration: ACE Member Institution: $1,550   |   Non-ACE Member Institution: $1,850

Registration includes breakfast, lunch, and materials. Participants are responsible for their hotel and travel expenses. Discounted hotel rates are available for attendees registered for this workshop.

Payment and Cancellations Policies

Full payment must be received prior to start of the program to confirm registration. ACE accepts the following payment options:

  • Credit Card - All major credit cards accepted. Call 202-939-9376 to have payment processed by phone.

Program Book Materials

Each participant will receive access to an electronic program book containing information for program participants and presenters. Please email the following information to ACELeadership@acenet.edu no later than Monday, March 20, 2017:​

  • Electronic photo (.jpeg format)
  • Web link to your electronic bio
Mock Interview Materials

We have organized an interactive program of plenary sessions, including a mock interview that will assist you with shaping your career development plan. Please email the following documents to ACELeadership@acenet.edu no later than Monday, March 20, 2017:

  • Administrative Vitae/CV
  • Sample job description (of a position you aspire to)
  • Cover letter (the cover letter should be tailored to the sample job description)

Preliminary Schedule

The following is the preliminary schedule for the convening. A detailed agenda will be included in the digital program book that will be emailed to participants prior to the meeting.

Day 1

8:30 a.m.  Registration and sign-in open

4:45 p.m.  First day’s programming ends

5:30 p.m.  Reception and Dinner  

Day 2

8:30 a.m.  Re-gathering

5:30 p.m.  Closing and Networking Reception ends

Room Rate

Participants are responsible for their hotel and travel expenses. The rate for attendees is $199/night. To receive the discounted rate, please use the reservation link in the Hotel and Travel (PDF) 1MB document. Please complete a conference registration prior to reserving a room. The deadline to reserve a room is Friday, March 31, 2017.
