​Thank you for your interest in the National Women's Leadership Forum. This 3-day leadership program is for senior-level women administrators (typically deans and above) seeking a college or university presidency, vice presidency, or major deanship.   ​​​​​​​​

Program Location

The June 2017 program will take place at the Hilton Washington Dulles Airport Hotel, Herndon, VA. For more information, visit the Location tab​ above.

Program Book and Mock Interview Materials

To participate in the program, you will need to complete a conference registration as well as submit materials for the program book and mock interviews.

Fees

Early Bird: ACE Member Institution: $1,850   |    Non-ACE Member Institution: $2,100

General Registration: ACE Member Institution: $1,950    |    Non-ACE Member Institution: $2,200

Fees include breakfast, lunch, and materials. Registered attendees are responsible for their hotel and travel expenses – exclusive discounted hotel rates available. Visit the Location tab above.

Emily Taylor Women's Leadership Scholarship

Emily Taylor was a longtime champion of women's causes and a former director of the Office of Women in Higher Education (OWHE) at the American Council of Education. In honor of her work, ACE will award support grants/scholarships to defray the cost of registration for the National Women's Leadership Forums. 

Payment and Cancellation Policies

Full payment must be received prior to start of the program to confirm registration. ACE accepts the following forms of payment:

  • Credit Card – American Express, Visa, Discover, or MasterCard accepted. Participants can pay during registration or call 202-939-9376 to have payment processed by phone.
  • Check Make payable to American Council on Education. Indicate participant name on check. Mail both check and registration submission receipt/invoice to:

Program Book Materials

Each participant will receive access to an electronic program book containing information for program participants and presenters. Please email the following information to ACELeadership@acenet.edu no later than May 10, 2017:

  • Digital photo (.jpeg format)
  • Web link to electronic bio
Mock Interview Materials

We have organized an interactive program of plenary sessions, including a mock interview that will assist you with shaping your career development path. Please email the following information to ACELeadership@acenet.edu no later than May 10, 2017: 

  • Administrative Vitae/CV
  • Sample job description (of a position you aspire to)
  • Cover letter (the letter should be tailored to the sample job description)

Preliminary Schedule

The following is the preliminary schedule for the convening. A detailed agenda will be included in the digital program book that will be emailed to participants prior to the meeting.

Day 1

8:30 a.m. - Registration and sign-in open

5:00 p.m. - First day's programming ends

5:30 p.m. - Reception and dinner

Day 2

8:30 - Re-gathering

4:30 p.m. - Second day's programming ends

Day 3

8:30 a.m. - Re-gathering

2:30 p.m. - Workshop ends (tentative)

Room Rate

Participants are responsible for their hotel and travel expenses. The discounted rate for program attendees is $169.00/night and is valid 3 days before and 3 days after the program.  Register for the program prior to reserving the room. Please read the hotel and travel document for additional logistics details (including hotel reservation link).
