ACE Leadership Network Meeting

The Globally Engaged Institution: Washington Connections

December 10, 2012

In a rapidly expanding and interconnected global environment, U.S. higher education must respond to the imperative for substantive and strategic interaction with higher education institutions in other nations.

This ACE Leadership Network meeting is designed to help institutional leaders learn how to use the many resources centered in Washington, DC, as they develop strategies for global engagement. Topics included:

  • "Global Engagement: A View from Abroad" – Featuring Nirupama Rao, Ambassador of India to the United States
  • "Funding Opportunities for Global Engagement"
  • "The Globalization of Competition for Students"
  • "The State of US Higher Education’s Global Engagement: Report of the Mapping Internationalization 2011 Study"

This meeting was for presidents and chief academic officers at ACE member institutions only. Key faculty members at your institution were welcome to register, too, but ONLY if your president or chief academic officer attended as well.

    2013 ACE/AIEA Internationalization Collaborative Annual Meeting

    The American Council on Education (ACE) and Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA) announce the 13th meeting of the Internationalization Collaborative, a network of campus leaders that convenes annually to address critical issues in campus internationalization. The program is designed for campus leaders with responsibility for internationalization, including senior international officers, provosts, deans, department chairs, and program directors. A team of campus leaders from the same institution is ideal.
