ACE Institute for New Chief Academic Officers

The ACE Institute for New Chief Academic Officers (CAOs) provides practical executive leadership development for CAOs in their first 3 years on the job.

Summary

No longer accepting applications for the Class of 2017-18

​Thank you for your interest in the ACE Institute for New Chief Academic Officers. This program is conducted 3 times during the year: July, November, and March. It is designed to provide practical executive leadership development for CAOs in their first 3 years on the job. Our goals are to identify topics and issues of immediate concern to new academic vice presidents and provide the means to address them. Each session is highly participatory, using a combination of discussions facilitated by experienced CAOs and presidents, case studies presented by program participants, conversations with peers from diverse institutions, and briefings by national experts.

Fees:

Fees are due after acceptance into the program; includes breakfast, lunch, and materials. Attendees are responsible for their hotel and travel expenses – exclusive discounted hotel rates available. 

ACE Member Institution: $5,800    |    Non-ACE Member Institution: $6,600

Those who would not otherwise be able to attend, may request partial scholarships by emailing ACELeadership@acenet.edu.

Payment and Cancellations Policies

Full payment must be received prior to start of the program to confirm application. ACE accepts the following payment options:

  • Credit Card American Express, Visa, Discover, or MasterCard accepted. Call 202-939-9376 to have payment processed by phone.
  • Check Payable to American Council on Education and indicate applicants name of check. Mail both check and invoice to:

Note: Purchase orders are not accepted as payment. To request an invoice, email purchase order to cbanks@acenet.edu.

CANCELLATIONS

  • May 26, 2017 Cancellation requests submitted to ACELeadership@acenet.edu by COB will receive a refund minus a $300 cancellation fee
  • July 4, 2017 Cancellation requests submitted to ACELeadership@acenet.edu by COB are eligible for a 50% refund
  • After July 4, 2017 Cancellation requests received are not eligible for a refund
