If you took the GED Tests as a civilian in the United States or Canada, contact the person in charge of GED testing in the state, province, territory, or government agency where you took the tests.

The GED Testing Service holds GED transcript information only for the following:

• Active duty U.S. military personnel tested after October 1, 1985
• U.S. military personnel tested overseas after September 1974
• Coast Guard personnel tested after January 1975
• Overseas civilians tested between November 1966 and May 1998
• Ft. Jackson personnel tested after March 1975
• Federal prison inmates tested after 1954
• Michigan prisons inmates tested after 1957
• West Point personnel tested after September 1982
• Canadian military tested between June 1982 and September 1997
• Ft. Hamilton personnel tested after January 1984
• Ft. Knox personnel tested after July 1, 1985
• Ft. Campbell personnel tested after July 1, 1985
• U.S. Veterans who tested at VA Hospitals after October 1989.

The GED Testing Service does NOT maintain records for the following:

1.	Anyone who took the GED Tests at a local school board, community college, high school, adult/community education center, or other locally-operated civilian location should contact:
		The person in charge of GED testing for your state, province, territory, or government agency.
2.	Ft. Jackson personnel tested from July 1, 1974, through March 31, 1975, should contact the:

6.	Active-duty U.S. service members tested between September 1, 1974, and October 1, 1985, should contact the:
		GED Administrator for the state where the installation is located
7.	U.S. military personnel tested in Europe through the Big Bend High School should contact the:

9.	U.S. military personnel tested in Okinawa through the Kubasaki High School should contact the:

10.	Canada Forces personnel tested in September 1997 or later should contact the:
		GED Administrator for Province or Territory of permanent residence
11.	GED test-takers in the U.S. Job Corps should contact the:
		GED Administrator for state where the program participant took the tests
12.	U.S. Prisons:
		GED test-takers in Federal Prisons tested before 1954 should contact the prison where they tested.
		GED test-takers in Michigan prisons tested before 1957 should contact the prison where they tested.
		GED test-takers in the California Youth Authority should contact the facility where they tested, if they tested before May 1970 OR the GED Administrator for California, if they tested after May 1970
		GED test-takers in all other U.S. state prisons should contact the prison where they tested OR the GED Administrator for the state where the installation is located
13.	Civilians who tested overseas:
		Before November 1966, should contact the location at which the person was tested

14.	Dependents of U.S. military servicemembers who tested through Department of Defense overseas American high schools should contact:
