New data will be presented in a soon-to-be-released 2020 supplement to ACE's Race and Ethnicity in Higher Education: A Status Report. To learn more about the report and data, register for the live webinar scheduled for Nov. 10, 12-1:30 p.m. ET here.
The event will begin with a presentation of key findings from the 2020 supplement, with two moderated panel discussions to follow. This supplement, which builds upon 2019’s Race and Ethnicity in Higher Education: A Status Report, includes six major topics:
The academic experiences of students prior to college
Graduate and professional education
Postsecondary career and technical education
Student loan debt and repayment
Postsecondary faculty and staff
The role Tribal Colleges and Universities play in supporting Native students and communities
The first panel brings together experts in student success, student financial aid and debt, higher education faculty and leadership, and Tribal Colleges and Universities to discuss the implications of the 2020 supplement for policy and practice and the changes that are needed to promote racial equity in higher education.
The second panel features representatives from major foundations to look at the role that philanthropy can play in supporting research and practice aimed at closing racial equity gaps in higher education.
The status report and 2020 supplement are supported by the generous contributions of The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
