The course objective is to provide an overview of the wastewater system to newcomers to the field as well as experienced personnel. In this course, the student will learn about the origin and characteristics of wastewater; and also learn basic safety measures regarding your wastewater system.This course course covers practical aspects of operating and maintaining wastewater treatment plants, emphasizing the use of safe practices and procedures. In addition to the information provided about state requirements, participants will learn about the composition and characteristics of wastewater, secondary treatment processes, disinfection of wastewater, and laboratory controls. The successful completion of this course qualifies the student to receive 20 hours of TCEQ wastewater operators licensing credit.
